Fish Baked with Lemon Tahini

 
Makes 4-6 servings
 
Fish with tahini is easy and quick to prepare, resulting in a fish dish with a twist!
Any kind of fish will do, preferably a fillet.
 

Ingredients:

 
2 lbs. (1 kg.) fish 
1/2 cup tahini
1/4 cup lemon juice
2 tbsp. warm water
1 large onion, sliced
3 tbsp. olive oil
3 tbsp. Chopped coriander, parsley & mint for garnish (optional)
Salt
 

Preparation:

  1. Drizzle olive oil and sprinkle salt on fish. Bake in baking pan in 180 °C; 350°F  oven for 12-14 minutes, or until fish flakes easily with fork.
  2. Remove from oven and set aside.
  3. In a medium bowl, combine Tahini, water and lemon juice. Mix until a sauce forms, adding more water as needed. Season with salt to taste.
  4. Spread sauce over fish and cover with onion slices.
  5. Bake for 20 minutes at 180 °C; 350°F.
  6. Garnish with chopped coriander, parsley and mint. Serve immediately with white rice and lemon wedges, or place in refrigerator and serve cold or at room temperature.
